We are planning to migrate our JIRA Server to JIRA Cloud. We have license of Zephyr Test plugin for unlimited users on JIRA Server. If we migrate to JIRA Cloud, does Zephyr Plugin plus license migrate to cloud. Or do we need to purchase the license again for Zephyr cloud plugin. Please suggest.
The silly but very true answer is to migrate when you are ready for it. The remaining maintenance you have on your licenses is one aspect, but you also have to migrate your data, prepare communication to / onboarding of your users / document stuff ... After all, the cloud product is quite different as the server product.
If you have made up you mind about migrating, I would suggest you start preparing in time. Atlassian will provide you with a free cloud licenses for the remaining time of your server maintenance, so you will have the chance to start familiarising yourself with the product and plan for the migration.
Start by reading through the migration path in the Cloud migration center. And if you're unsure, don't hesitate to reach out to a Solutions Partner. They are well equipped to support you through the migration process.
For Zephyr (and other marketplace apps) I recommend you reach out directly to the vendor to see how they can support you in migrating your data and what they can/are willing to offer you in terms of licensing. You should be able to find contact details through the Marketplace listing of the app.
