We are seeing the following message while trying to access Jira:
“It looks like our database is taking a little longer than usual to sync up. Wait a few moments then try again.”
This issue has been occurring repeatedly today.
@Sahaya Jenistan
This banner usually means Atlassian Cloud is waiting on a backend sync (often user/profile or site data) and may clear after a short delay, but if it keeps reappearing throughout the day it often indicates a platform incident or a stuck account provisioning flow rather than a project configuration issue. The immediate actions are to check Atlassian Status for active Jira Cloud incidents and run the access/user‑sync checks below to confirm whether identity synchronization is lagging for the affected users
Common causes
Ongoing or recent Atlassian Cloud incidents or partial degradations affecting Jira Cloud in your region, which can intermittently surface this message
Delayed identity/user provisioning after adding users or changing group/product access, where the account hasn’t finished syncing into the product
In some cases the same banner appears when the user isn’t authorized for the site/product, which Atlassian has flagged as a confusing error message to improve
If not raise a ticket with Atlassian Support
