We can't create this issue for you right now, it could be due to unsupported content you've entered

Good Day,

A user gets this error when creating an Epic, but I do not get this error.

The info inserted is exactly the same.

No idea why this is happening.  Any ideas?

JIRA v7.5.0

Regards,

Juan

My first thought was in regards to this other users permissions and whether or not they have application access to Jira Software which would be required to create epics.

But from a quick search of this issue I found two other reported issues with this same error:

In the both of these it appears this can happen when there exists a post function on the create issue transition.   If there is a plugin in Jira that is providing this transition, that plugin either might not be installed or might not be working correct in Jira to allow this.

I would recommend starting there.  Find the project where this epic would be created in, then look at the workflow for the issuetype of Epic in that project.  From there closely look at the workflow in place when creating this issue. You typically need to look at the diagram mode in order to see the create issue transition.   If we can determine what plugin might be creating a post function action, perhaps we can further narrow down the scope of the problem here.
