What I need to know when moving issues to another project?

Myriam March 18, 2022

Dear all,

I have created a Jira project with a finite list of epics, organised into Components.

When moving issues from another project to the new one, the moved tickets are not visible into the backlog of the new project. I can only see them through the Issues list.

So not way to create a sprint.

I checked the filter of the board: they are totally correct.

I am totally stuck

thank you for your help

Hello,

You said that your filter are 100% correct but i'm afraid it should be something on this point.

Maybe try to look on you issue if the sprint field is filled, this can maybe cause the problem. But my best guess is you have a problem on you request.

Hope this help

Florian

Dear Florian,

I finally found out the issue: a very stupid one !!

the colleague who moved the tickets, modified the project name: he removed underscores that were contained in the project name. As a consequence the project filters were totally wrong. And this was not obvious.

I renamed the project correctly and everything came out properly.

But it brought another question : this colleague has a Team Member role. This role should not allow him to modify the filter settings and project permissions. I'm going to ask this question to the community to understand why he could do these actions.

Sorry again for the inconvenience.
