What are the best steps for upgrading from jira 3.13 to jira 7 ?

Hi everyone,

I need to upgrade from JIRA 3.13 for a large customer in Romania . I'm curently working on a test environment with Windows 2008 Server and MSSQL DB. What are the best intermediate versions for upgrade?

It's very dependent on your testing, but I'd start with a plan for 3.13 -> 4.4 -> 5.2 -> 6.4 -> 7.0  (I'd try skipping the 5.2 version if possible, but the rest will probably bite you somewhere if you miss them)

Not a lot beyond "read all the release notes", and "test it".  You're going to have issues with it somewhere, but there's not a huge amount of general advice I can give you that is beyond "common sense"
