What are the definitions of the notification options?

What are the differences between the following options within a notification scheme...

• Issue updated
• Issue moved
• Generic event

I want to set up notifications for when an issue changes status through the workflow, which of these does that?

Whichever ones you set.

Look at your workflow transitions.  They all have a "post function" for "Fire event".

The events named correspond to lines in your notification scheme.

You can change the events being fired to anything you want (inluding your own events - if you add new events to the system, they will become available to the workflow post-function, and appear on your notification schemes automatically)

If you are creating a new workflow, or transition from scratch, the default event will be "Generic event".

Issue updated is fired by the system "edit" action (and some others) and Issue moved by moving an issue (to another type or project)
