Hi community, I am working on board (Scrum and Kanban). When creating board I see that there are 3 option:

  1. Board created with new Software project. A new board based on a new Software project
  2. Board from an existing project. Boards can contain one or more projects.
  3. Board from an existing Saved Filter. An advanced option using a JQL filter.

Then is there any side effects when deleting the board (Scrum and Kanban)? like sprints are available in the board, reports are using the board and its sprints, etc...

And how to configuration role permission to delete the board?

Thank you in advance!

Hello @Benjamin

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Here are a couple of the impacts of deleting boards.

Dashboard gadgets and Automation Rules may refer to agile boards. If you delete the referenced board then the gadgets and rules will stop working.

When you delete a board you will lose access to the Reports section that was associated to that board. For a Scrum board that means you lose access to the Velocity reports and Sprint reports specific to that board.

A board can be deleted by any user designated as an Administrator for that board. They can also be deleted by Jira/Product Administrators.
