What do I need to set up in our Jira instance to enable MS Teams to connect?

I have found the details on what we need to configure on the O365 side to enable the Teams integration with Jira. But are there prerequisites or set up needed to be done on the Jira side to enable the cross platform interaction?

I am trying to find details on how Jira -> MS Teams and MS Teams -> Jira integrations are authenticated? Are there any token/certificate to be generated? Or are they using any ID/Pwd, which are to be created and shared with the each other?

The use cases are:

1. Jira Cloud on a MS Teams channel - when a site is selected - how is the permission verified?

2. Jira Cloud on MS Teams chat - is this using the end user details / SSO/SAML to verify the user permission to the Jira instance?

3. Jira to MS Teams for push notification - is this using webhook behind the scene? Do we need to anything to enable this?
