I am working in an environment that uses many different AD servers as remote user directories. We are looking to clean up the environment as much as possible and would like to remove unused remote user directories.
I have several directories that only contain inactive users. I know that Jira will still display the inactive owners of issues and other assets, but if I remove the user directory that contains these inactive users, does the owner of existing issues remain, or does it change to "nobody"?
Do I need to keep all of the user directories enabled in order to preserve issue ownership?
Hi @mathewmay72 ,
if a user is removed from JIRA, for both internal or AD, all issues containg that user as assignee, reporter or any other cf user picker, will show the username (inactive) of user without link to the deleted user.
So no information will be lost from JIRA.
Hope this helps,
Fabio
