What is the ID for project lead?

When setting properties for a status, you can add properties based on a role. For this you use the ID for the role.

I want to set a property for the project lead. Is an ID available for this "role"?

When I hoover over the name of the project lead I only see the user name, and not an ID. Or is another option available?

It's not, as it's not a "role" (as in what JIRA calls a role, rather than the English definition of the word).  It's a single attribute of a project.

So, my guess is that you're using a property like jira.permission.edit.projectrole 10001

For project lead, I think you use jira.permission.edit.lead  (My notes say the values available are group, user, assignee, reporter, lead, userCF, projectrole )
