What is the best way to track customer product releases in Jira

We manage and host many cloud environments for Customers that run our products. We manually keep track of what releases and patch levels they are at in a spreadsheet. We want to move this customer/software release cross reference to Jira/JSM and tie it in with the release/versions of products. What is the best way for us to do this?
