What is the process of creating a portfolio by only using filters

I want to create a portfolio in jira without using boards or teams. I have filters around roadmaps , epics  & stories . But when I start creating a plan it asks for boards. Can I create the plan by just using filters?

Hi @Prashant_Jain 

You can use filters as your data source. When you create a plan you will get an option to use a filter. I personally prefer board for managing SCRUM based projects, because in that case the Sprint information is also pulled into the plan but you are free to use filters as well.
