I'm curious if anyone who is using the SCCM Integration for Insight has any performance metrics from the SCCM server. What's the resource use on the SCCM server when Insight synchronizes using the integration? How many resources are you managing in SCCM?
I haven't implemented it, but am exploring it and my SCCM admin is interested to know if our current SCCM server resources are enough when a synchronization runs.
I don't know how much it help, but:
1. It is rather JIRA server affected - as SCCM integration is pulling the data out of SCCM to JIRA.
2. I have not measured SCCM machine performance, but I have some remarks on JIRA side
3. SCCM with c.a. 50-70 K objects (Insight integrations shows total of 120K + objects and cross-references), first synchronisation (import) took 3,5-4 hours. JIRA was available, but indeed slow responding (I/O operations for SCCM consumed some of system resources). Second run - sync - took about 2,5 hours - with better JIRA performance than with initial import.
Anyway - I would advise to run it in off-peaks. :-)
Thanks Przemek. We'll definitely run it off-peak! I noticed very little resource consumption on the SCCM server. My dev-Jira instance was noticeably less responsive while the import ran, as you described.

Well, I assume so, but the level of data and all details gathered - wow!
