What parameters to be considered while upgrading Jira Software from 7.2.6 to 7.12.6 on production

Currently, I having Jira Software version 7.2.6 which will expire and we have to update to 7.12.1. What all things need to be taken care while upgrading the Jira software on a production machine?

Hi Vishal, while I do not have any specific advice, I do have a couple of things that we should always do when considering an upgrade

• Always always do a dry run first in a test instance, before perfoming any changes or updates
• Make sure that your add-ons will be compatible in the new Jira version that you plan to update to
• Make sure that you are using a compatible database and Java version with the new Jira version
