I've created a project that will have recurring monthly tasks using The Scheduler. I'm able to edit these and execute as necessary.
The problem is no one else can! They can create scheduled issues, but they're unable to click into the scheduled issue and the Execute link is grayed out.
I've tried adding users to every role (Owner, admin, etc.). I've added the team to every Issue permission in my permission scheme.
I've gone through The Scheduler in Jira Administration > Addons and the add-on documentation.
Any ideas?
Hi Daniel,
All scheduled issues are private by default only some power users like Jira Administrators have access to all scheduled issues.
In order to grant rights to edit or execute scheduled issues, you need to share those with desired users / roles / groups.
There should be appropriate message displayed above scheduled issue table (v6.2.0)
Here you can read about sharing Scheduled Issues: https://psc-software.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SCHED/pages/2528622/Manage+Access+to+Scheduled+Issue+sharing+SI+5.x
You can do it in bulk, also in project settings you can manage the visibility of those not accessible scheduled issues
Cheers,
Łukasz

Hi Daniel,
You might want to try the Permission helper to see what it says. Got to the Permission Scheme in question and click on Permission helper button at the top right.
Then enter one of the users that can't perform the function, select one of the issues they are having trouble with, and then finally the Schedule Issues permission and click Submit.
Hopefully, that will guide you to the right place.

Hi John,
Sorry, I should have been more clear. I've edited the OP to include more information.
Unfortunately, the Permissions Helper can't help here. These are Scheduled Issues that have been created in The Scheduler that have not been executed yet, so there are no issues to choose from.
The user can create these scheduled issues, but can't click into them to edit.
I've gone through The Scheduler in Jira Administration > Add-ons and the add-on documentation.

So if they created the issues, then you should be able to run the Permission Helper and choose Edit Issue for the ones they can't edit.

They've always been able to edit issues that were created by the "master" Scheduled Issue (The statuses in the Helper check out fine for these). It's the "master" Scheduled Issue, which doesn't show up in the Permission helper, that they can't edit or execute.
I'm thinking this issue is something unique to The Scheduler add-on. I've reached out to the vendor's support as well.
Thanks for the replies by the way.
