What’s the best way to migrate projects from Jira Server to Jira Cloud without losing metadata?

How can I move all my projects from Jira Server to Jira Cloud and make sure none of my data, settings, or configurations are lost?

Hi @Jesse Hilton

Before you start, it’s worth thinking through a few things:

  • Data fidelity: making sure that everything including attachments, comments, history makes it across cleanly.
  • Downtime and disruption: How to minimize disruption for active users.
  • Complexity: Some projects are straightforward, others have custom fields or add-ons that complicate the move.
  • Approach: Do you want to migrate everything at once or go in phases?

In your use case scenario, you may want to explore, Atlassian Silver Solution Partner OpsHub Migration Manager (OMM) It will help you migrate data  safely, preserving history, attachments, and relationships, configurations, etc., with zero downtime, no disruption and high data fidelity.

Drop us a line if you want to request a demo or have any questions.

Good luck for your migration journey!:)
