Whats the easiest way to prepopulate description field with content in Jira Cloud

Whats the easiest way to pre-populate the description field with content in Jira cloud on creation.

I figured out one way to do it which is create a hidden field with the content then use a Post Function on Creation and copy the test from the hidden field to the description field.

A  little hacky and wondering if there is an easier way.

(btw on a side note, it is very hard to search for things specifically for Jira Cloud as you get help on Confluence, Trello, or Jira on-prem :( )

Your best bet is to stop filling your fields with rubbish and ask your users to describe their real issues.

Your "little hacky" fix is going to give you a huge amount of absolute garbage and waste a lot of your effort fixing it.  Forget it, and move on

Ok I was expecting that response :). Thank you. Now that is out of the way does someone have a better way to do this on Jira cloud
