When am trying to stop jira as it showing the error

Server startup logs are located in /opt/atlassian/jira/logs/catalina.out
Using CATALINA_BASE:   /opt/atlassian/jira

Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /opt/atlassian/jira/temp
Using JRE_HOME:        /opt/atlassian/jira/jre/
Using CLASSPATH:       /opt/atlassian/jira/bin/bootstrap.jar:/opt/atlassian/jira/bin/tomcat-juli.jar
Using CATALINA_PID:    /opt/atlassian/jira/work/catalina.pid
PID file found but either no matching process was found or  the current user does not have the permissions to start the process. Stop aborted.

@JP Looks like you do not have the permissions? Can you try switching user to admin and check?

As a admin i tried , What is process for this as am very first time am using  the Linux Server .

@JP  i think you can use admin login for  the server system  and check. because its showing the permission issue only.

I have looged in as admin itself as sudo su ,  i have given the permissions to complete entire folder by 777
