When an epic is complete on a Next Gen project, how do you remove it from the Kanban board?

Hi,

I like that you can filter out "done" Epics in the roadmap.

However, as I'm grooming my backlog, I would to get rid of "old" epics without having to them.

  1. Is there a way to filter for "done" Epics in the Backlog of a next-gen project? (so that I at least don't see those Epics when I groom for simplicity purposes)
  2. How do I remove "done" Epics from the Backlog all together without deleting them?

Thx & best Regards from Switzerland,

Nico

Hello @Nico Schweizer

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Per your description, I understand that you would like to remove the done Epics from your Epic panel at the left side of your board backlog, as displayed in the screenshot below. Is that correct?

I'm afraid this option is not available for Next-gen projects at this moment, however, we understand that this might cause the scrolling of your Epic panel to be cumbersome and inefficient after closing too many Epics. In fact, the expected behavior is that the Epics should be automatically removed from the panel as soon as they get closed.

We created the following bug to improve this behavior:

Marking the epic as done in the nextgen backlog does not remove the epic from the epic panel

Feel free to vote and watch the bug to increase its priority and also receive notifications about its fix implementation.
