Hello,

I'm looking for assistance with closing a sprint.

My team has closed 20/20 issues on our Jira board. They are all in 'Done' status, which is also the last column in our board. However, when closing the Sprint I get a warning: '1 open issue.'

Does anyone know how to resolve this? All I'm seeing for solutions is to make sure the 'Done' status is the last column. Since this is not the problem, are there any other solutions anyone is aware of?

Thanks!

Hi @Joseph.Guerin,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

It could be that an issue from another project was assigned to the sprint that you are trying to close. The only way to find out would be to get the internal number for the sprint and then do a search. To get the sprint Id, go to an issue that has it assigned (you have to do it from the issue detailed view, not from the board) hover over the sprint name and the URL has the Id at the end. With it you can do a JQL like this that should give you all issues that have it assigned:

sprint = <sprintId>

Note that sprints are not limited to a single project/board, so you have to make sure that the sprint name is unique to the project/board, and you should only assign the sprint from the board in order to avoid setting the wrong sprint.
