I currently need to create a new a new issue type (bugs) and the company currenntly has a lot of them, I just wan to create a new one with different options for a new project without impacting any of the current projects. I just want to know if creating a new one, can it impact the current ones?
@David Castro No, but when you add a new issue type to an issue type scheme associated to many project then it will affect all projects using this issueType scheme. I don't know why you have lots of issue Type bug(s) only one is enough. All you need to do is create an issue type scheme or a copy of existing and associate it to this particular project. You need to be Jira admin to do so.

Mo.
thanks @Moses Thomas , We have different issue types because each project requires different insights to be done, so each project has it´s own issueType Scheme.

@David Castro Ok if all projects has it's own Issue Type scheme then when you create a new issueType and add it to a particular scheme it will only affect project(s) using this scheme.

Moses
