When exporting all the fields or custom fields from JIRA, few customs fields are not exported to CSV.

Option -1 : While extracting, will select the custom fields from the "COLUMNS", those are visible in the screen but when extracted the fields are not populated 

Option-2 Export all fields to csv, still few custom fields are missing from csv. 

Can someone help if the defining the custom fields could be an Issue or something else.

Note : Custom field is dropdown select

Thank you for reaching out.

By default, ALL fields should be exported from Jira when selecting the option Export Excel CSV (All fields). 

Can you please confirm exactly what are the fields you are not being able to export? To know it, navigate to settings > Issues > Custom field and check the exact name returned in the type of the field:

Also, can you confirm if your issues have a valid value added to those fields?

The only fields that might not be exported in the same CSV would be the ones provided by third-party apps, so I believe you must be facing this scenario. In that case, we must know the app vendor that provides those fields to confirm if there's an option to export them.

Hi Petter Gonçalves,

As you suggested , the custom filed did not have any value. When I had tried out the same in different project and made sure some value/info is provided, the Issue is resolved. 

Maybe 'as the field was blank' the field was not getting exported.
