When field values are transmitted in case an issue is created via structure?

Hi all!

We have noticed, that in some cases field values are updated automatically to new issues that are created via structure. But i cannot find a logic for it.

Is there any documents about this topic?

Here is how it works now:

Structure1:

* Insert issues: project="ABC"

* group by sprint

* group by epic

* group by labels

In this structure, when i "+Create" an issue (Task), JIRA will update sprint, epic, and labels values automatically. This works as a dream!

When i "+Create" an issue (User Story), JIRA will not update values and issue will not be shown in the structure later. Why?

Structure2:

* project = "ABC" and (key= ABC-1 or "Epic Link" = ABC-1)

* Add issues linked by Parent: parent is parent of children

* Remove Inserter/Extender Duplicates

As result we have the structure: Epic -> User story -> Task. When i create a task in this structure, i would like that "Epic Link" filed to be updated automatically. Instead only parent of link is updated. Why?
