When loading any filter, get a blank page, but the data is there

Kevin Keck May 10, 2019

When loading Jira with a filter or a dashboard, any user is getting a blank page.  Using Page source, I can see the data is there, also if I log out and load a URL calling a filter, I can see the table column and JQL search bar right before the login screen pops up. We have been running Jira Core native for about 6 months or more.

I can access tickets directly by entering the URL directly to the ticket or by searching in the top right, although selecting to edit the ticket giving a loading overlay that never loads.

We are running Jira Core v8.1.0, I have applications installed like JEMH and Jira Automation, but I can no longer access the settings for Add-ons anymore.  I don't see anything specific in the logs, but if there's something specific you guys want me to get, ask and I'll put it up here.

This happens on almost all pages, System and Add-ons setting pages can no longer be accessed.  If I go to page source, I can search any of the data, as if it is on the page, but isn't visible for some reason. Nothing that I can tell is obviously wrong, nothing new was added today or around when the issue occurred, any assistance you guys can provide will be very helpful.

Hi @Kevin Keck ,

Could You please check in developer mode (F12)?

Maybe some JS hide section. I set manually 'display:none' and get result as your.

I see something very different than what you're seeing.   To get to the same area, load a filter in Jira as detail view (where you can select each issue on the left and a separate pane will load the details of the issue)

If I press the up or down arrow keys, I can move from one ticket to another.  I can see that it changes because it jumps to the next ticket number in the address bar.

Well you set me on the right path to find the problem, special characters in the announcement banner.  Once removed, everything went back to normal.
