When replying to a comment, can you have it automatically mention the same people?

There are times when someone is asking me a question in JIRA and tags multiple people. I want to reply to that comment and have it automatically tag the same people so they get the reply.

Jira Server does not have that functionality.

Try searching the Marketplace to see if add-ins like Threaded Comments for Jira Server will meet your requirements.

That add-in doesn't get great reviews. Any chance this is a feature JIRA is considering in the future? It would be a huge help. I find folks moving to Teams to communicate about issues because it offers more robust communication features.

Jira isn't designed to be an email / messaging system, hence the totally different features and functionality compared to Teams. There is however, a feature request for threaded comments, JRACLOUD-3406.

Note this is a feature request for Jira CLOUD not SERVER, as Server is a discontinued product.
