When we export data from Jira Issues, we have a column named Original estimate. I understand the meaning of this column but I can't guess the units use

For exemple, on Jira, the original estimate is 1d4h but in the excel download its 43200. But it's not corresponding with a conversion in minutes either in seconds

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

It is actually seconds, but not just plain seconds, it's taking into account your settings for time tracking.

With 60 seconds in a minute and 60 minutes in an hour, you can convert to hours by dividing it by 60 twice (or by a single division of 60*60)

So, 43200 / 3600 = 12 hours.

I think your time tracking is probably the default of working time is "5 days a week, 8 hours a day".  In those terms, 12 hours = 1d 4h...
