Greenhopper has been talking about implementing a working version of epics (multi-level stories) into their products for years (the current one in the classic view is less than intuitive and has significant problems). I've been tracking their backlog for months and don't see it rising in priority even though I've gotten a survey about my features requests around epics and being told that it is a high priority and targeted for Agile 2012.
Now that Boards are live and the primary GH workflow, when will Epics or multi-level stories be added into the product (or even into labs)?
Thanks,
David
This forum really isn't the right place for this type of question, largely because it can't be answered by the community. You'd be better off commenting on the issue related to Epic handling on the GreenHopper backlog you've already referred to.
As you know, we don't communicate roadmaps or make forward statements. The reason is that our plans change regularly and we try to be agile.
We understand that many users would like to see Epic handling improved, it remains the highest priority major item on our roadmap. As you can see from the backlog that you pointed to, it's also the highest priority epic in our backlog. Implementing Epic management that doesn't suck is not easy so we're considering how best to go about it. We will definitely address this in the future.
Thanks,
Shaun
