True archiving of projects came to Jira Data Center back in v7.10, but did not come to Jira Server.
Is there a plan to bring "true" project archiving to Jira Server? If so, when will it be available?
They talked about it during the State of the Union: Investing in Your Future With Atlassian Server & Data Center and archiving will be in Jira 8.0.

Atlassian does not publish any roadmaps or something like that, so nobody knows if or when this will happen.
