I'm on the new Jira view and I've slowly got used to it. However the "Create Issue" still provides a model with the old Jira controls.
If I want to write a ticket in the "Create Issue" modal I need to switch my brain back to the old markdown *bold* vs **bold**, h2. vs ##, etc.
It would be nice for it to be consistent with the actual ticket view.
OR
Is this a setting somewhere where I turn on the new view for "Create Issue"?

The Create issue screen is something that indeed was not migrated to the new view yet and we understand it’s complicated when creating an issue because of the Editor that is different.
Currently, there is no SLA of when it will be implemented in the new view. It was already reported and you can see the details on the link below:
