When will the new confluence / JIRA UI be available in the self-hosted version?

Love the new version. Is that only in Cloud?

Not for a long time, and hopefully, never (it's not good, compared with the Server UI, a large majority of users are finding)

Why not for a long time? It's been two years, why maintain two code bases? I actually prefer the new UI.
