When you tag someone while logging work, does your time add to their time too?

Nicole Durante July 12, 2019

When pairing with other team members to work on issues if you tag their user name while logging your work and state you worked with them for the time you log, do they also get that time added to their user name from that issue. For instance, if I worked with someone on an issue for 4 hours and we both logged separate work of 4 hours it would look like the issue took 8 hours when it really just took 4 between two people. So, if I tag who I paired with would the 4 hours count for both of us? Or just me because I'm the one who logged it. By counting I mean will it add to both names when using a time spent gadget or the work load gadget or something along those lines.

No, it's not how worklogs in Jira work. Your work took 8 hours.

No. Mentions and time logging are entirely separate.
