Where do I define filters for the Slack Jira integration?

I am the administrator on both Jira and Slack and I want to be able to offer my team an option to filter the updates from Jira into the Slack channel.  

Where do I define a filter to see only updates where I am the assignee of an issue? I do not want to see every single update in Jira. Any other filters will also be useful but that is the most important. 

Also, can I control which channel in Slack messages are posted to?

Please advise.

Hello Sergio,

Could you please let us know what plugin you are using to integrate JIRA and Slack?

The two plugins most used are:

JIRA Cloud for JIRA - Provided by Atlassian

Slack & JIRA Integration - Provided by Bitband

Using the second option provided by Bitband, you will be able to filter your notifications by priority, component, resolution, labels, status, type, assignee, reporter, epic, and sprint. Can you let us know if it works for you?

For more filter options on the Official plugin provided by Atlassian, we have an open feature request to implement it:

Allow users to set notifications on slack based on JQL filters

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.
