Where is any documentation on the AIT Tasks selection?

My Jira board has a selection for AIT Tasks in the left column that responds with a complex set of triggers and task parameters that is difficult to understand.  When I look for any documentation on this I get zero results.  Where can I have this explained.

You'll need to explain what an AIT Task is and what you are configuring - we can't tell you about your setup!

it is a Sun Software add-in for a Add Issue Transition Task that appears on some of our projects but not all of them.  Still not sure for what purpose it serves or who added it.
