×I had several Jira accounts, cloud and self-hosted.
And in each of them the placement/path of Application Links is different
-For old self-hosted/server
Applications -> Integrations -> Application Links
- For cloud
Jira Settings - Products - Application Links
But we need unified path to create an instruction for users how to create Aplication Link for our application in Jira for both versions.
Here I saw ways to create app links in both cloud and server Jira
but my server jira differs.
Maybe my server jira has outdated UI?
Hello @Mail Testuser
The link you shared is not an official Atlassian link.
It's best to refer to official Atlassian docs
Application links is explained in both Server and cloud here
Cloud -
Server -
So there is small difference in server and cloud in the way to create application links. But I share with you a simple trick to avoid any difference.
Application links can be created by anyone with Admin rights, hence if anyone has admin rights then they can just press "g g" (pressing key "g" twice) on the keyboard and admin popup will appear and then they just start typing"Application links" in popup and jira will automatically take them to the Application links section irrespective of whether they are on server or cloud.
