Whey Epics are not showing on my kanban board?

I've created a new software project (team-managed) and i created all the custom field for my epic and all other issue type. When i go to the backlog, i can drag and drop Stories and Tasks to the backlog but i am not able to drag and drop my epics to the backlog. Also when i go to the board, i only see the stories and the tasks and sub task, but i am not seeing the epics on the board. Why is that ?

The app is functioning as designed. For Team Managed projects it is not supported to put Epics in the Backlog or show them as cards on the board.

There are many differences between Team Managed and Company Managed projects. For more information on that topic refer to

I can't provide any insight on why Atlassian development made the choices they did when creating the Team Managed project. There are, however, many change requests open for the functionality of Team Managed projects. You might want to reach out directly to Atlassian Support to find out if they have a change request on this topic, or provide feedback to them via the Feedback option available within the Jira Cloud application.

If you go to 'backlog' you should see a drop-down list under the label 'Epic' that allows to enable the epic panel:

Hi @Carlos Garcia Navarro  I did that, but stil the epics are not showing.

Here as you can see i have enabled the Epic Pannel

Then i created a test Epic

The epic epears in the left pan, but i can't drag and drop it to the board or to the backlog

Again, i went to the board and made sure that the epic was selected, but still nothing is showing on the board!!

Any suggestion?

What do you have on the board filter? Are you pulling in epics?

Hi @Fabian Lim , yes sure. I am pulling all issue types. It is weird that even when i am on the backlog screen i am not able to drag and drop any epic to the backlog, but i can so so for any other issue type! So i wonder if that is a limitation of a team-managed project? Because on other company-managed project i can add eipcs to the baclog and i can see them on the dashboard!

Next step to check is that the status in the epics actually match your columns.
