When the customer create New Feature request in Service project i need simple and efficient way to create linked duplicate in Software project.
I learned that this can be done through an automation rule (clone service ticket and move cloned ticket into Software project).
Could you prompt different approaches and compare their pros and cons?
I recommend you consider using the “create linked issue” rather than Clone. You can do this using Automation if you have well defined conditions, e.g. specific request type. I use this feature coupled with a dedicated status (development) in the JSZm project. I use other automation rules to keep the JSM issue updated to align with the JSW issue.
