Which option is better to store sensitive information among Entity Property or Storage API?

I have a scenario, to store some sensitive information in my app,  Which option is better to store sensitive information among Entity Property or Storage API?

Or is there a better option other than these two options from Atlassian? please advise

From the docs about entity properties: 

"Users can access entity and app properties using the REST APIs. For this reason, never store private user data or configuration information using entity properties or app properties."
