While Jira Database Value Plugin(Latest version) is enabled, several functionalities stop working

While we have JDVP enabled, buttons like Dashboard, Project, Issues, Board are no longer able to unfold, and provide options, unless we are standing within the admin interface.

We have tried crawling the logs, which unfortunately doesn't provide any information as to why it fails.

The Documentation for JDVP states to ask questions here, so hopefully someone can help us out :)
