While raising Bug or Defect in Jira, the screen should prepopulate following custom fields information on New Defect/Bug page automatically based on their values in Test / Test Execution page.
The following fields of the issue type bug should be filled automatically:
• Detected in Application
• Detected in Test Plan
• Detected in Fix Version
• Detected in Test Environment
• Project number
Hi @Jayaprakash ,
There an option to set defect default vaules. See xray documentation:
https://docs.getxray.app/display/XRAY/Miscellaneous#Miscellaneous-DefectDefaultValues
As the docu points out not all of your fields can be pre-filled/configured. Maybe there is an option via API. Please don´t hesitate to contact vendor support for deeper insights on that.
Best
Stefan
Hi Stefan,
When you click on New Defect from from Xray Test Execution/Run page, the New Defect screen should auto populate above specified fields information from Test Execution page to the New Defect Page as its been speicified during Test Execution screen and am raising for that Test Run.

Hi @Jayaprakash ,
Thanks for explaning in detail. I got your point. As mentioned in my answer above there is a configuration in xray settings to populate several of your required fields in the create bug screen though not all of them.
Please get in touch with xray vendor support to discuss further solutions (maybe this can be solved via API).
