Why I am not able to create workflow? --->if workflow have double whitespaces

When I am trying to create new workflow in JIRA , workflow name have double whitespaces. I have tried through API and UI. It's giving an the below error.

The error message is quite self-explanatory. You have multiple white spaces in a row which Jira doesn't like apparently. 

Could you not just remove the second white space or use a different seperator like "-" or "_" ?
