Why I am the only asignee in the dropdown when creating a "tasks" in Jira?

Goodd day,

When wanting to create a task in Jira, and in the "create issue" window, nobody else is available to assign a task too?

Please advise how to resolve this?

I am the admin for the project, and I can see the "other users" when selecting "select user" in the "reporter" field.

Please check the permission scheme and see what is allowed for the "Assignable User". See the below link for documentation http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Managing+Project+Permissions

When you have made sure that other users have the Assignable permission and you still see only your user you should start typing the name of other users in the Assignee field. If users appear then this is a new behaviour in Jira 5 which already confused more users here
