Why I can`t move user story to bug ?

In case I have user story with sub tasks I can`t move it to bug (while if there are no sub tasks it pass with success)

The problem is that we have custome field in bug issue "Found in Version" which in mandatory in bug creation but on the move window I can`t edit this window .

Hi Ofira,

I won't pretend to say I understand the crazy logic that must be involved in the move process!  I can't answer the "why" of your question, but in lieu of that:

Have you thought of making the "Found in Version" field not required (in your Field Configuration) just for a minute while you complete the move?  I often have to do similar things when doing bulk cleanups of old issues with custom fields.

Alternativey, you could convert your sub tasks to parent tasks and then move them, which you said works.

Neither are ideal, but those are the only ways I can think of to get around it.
