Hello there!
We have a problem with an issue that continues sending emails even thoug it is resolved. We tried, to chage its resolution from "done" to "won't do", and stop watching it, but it still continues sending messages to its creator.
Is there anything we could have done with this issue that can have caused this? The only idea I have left in order to solve this is to delete it, but we would like to not to do that.
Thank you
Hello,
That is right. It does not matter if an issue is closed or not as long you make modifications to this issue and your notification scheme is configured to send an email.
You can disable all updates to issues after issues have been closed. In this case no users can do updates and no notifications will be sent.
You can disable updates by providing jira.issue.editable = false for the Closed status.
You can find more info here:
I think I did not explain myself clearly. Let me try again.
I forgot to tell you what kind o notification it sends, when we close the sprint, even though the issue is closed and there is no information about any issue moving to the next sprint, we recieve the notification about this issue being moved to a new sprint. Moreover this is something that only happens with this issue.

If an issue is moved to a new sprint, it means that the Sprint custom field value has been changed and you get notification about it. It is correct.
An issues is moved to a new sprint if upon closing an active sprint, this issue is not situated in the most right column. It does not matter what status or resolution an issue has. If an issue is not in the most right column in board in an active sprint, this issue is not completed and will be move to another sprint.

That helped me to find de problem, when created, the status was not mapped in the last column.
Thank you for your help!
