Why am I unable to display the ERROR/SUCCESS messages on the Jira Project Administration Page?

I have a web item in Project Specific Administration Page. I have a table in that page and I do crud operations on that. I wanted to display the Error/ Success Messages on the Top.

I have used "JIRA.Messages.showErrorMsg(data.message, {closeable: false, timeout: 5}); ", but this is not working. Please help me to fix this?
