Why are epic issues being spammed?

When we create an epic issue in Jira, we are spammed by hundreds of clone/duplicate issues.  Our only solution right now is to bulk delete the unwanted issues.  We have recently integrated Monday with our Jira instance but I don't know if this has anything to do with it.

Why does this happen and how can we prevent it?

I would check for any automation that might be the culprit. I would need more info to assist further. Are these exact duplicates? Are you accessing thru Jira UI to create the epic or thru and API?

I would reach out to the vendor or Atlassian to have them check into this. Unless you configured the addon to generate new tasks it sounds like it is not functioning correctly.
