Why are sub tasks displayed different from the issues view and kanban board view?

I tried creating an issue (task) and adding 2 child issues (sub tasks) however I noticed that the display order is incosistent between the issue view and the kanban board view.

I’d like the issues created first to be displayed from top to bottom in the Kanban board view. However, it isn’t displaying as expected.

Is this an expected behavior / bug?

Unfortunately, this is how it works right now. You can click the Give feedback link on the bottom left while on the screen to let them know your desire.
