Why can I not create subtasks anymore?

Every time we create a subtask I get the following error:

Hello @chantelle_lea 

Do you have a required field on your create screen (for the subtask) ?

If yes try this :

Workaround

1. Remove the required field
   or
2. Open the issue in JIRA, outside the board view, there you will be able to create a new Subtask.
   or
3. Disable the new JIRA issue view.

Hi, Yes i have the option to create subtasks but only to add the title, it used to work but has suddenly stopped for all users. 

Switched to old view and it works, thank you !!!!!!

Hi Chantelle, that is an odd error. Have you tried other projects? Can you create tasks ok, just not sub-tasks? Do others have this same issue? Depending on these answers I suspect you may need to reach out to Atlassian Support as it may be something weird with your instance.
