Why can't I access the company-managed features when using Jira free Kanban template?

I downloaded Qality Test and would like to create Qality Test issues in a cloud based project. However, the Company-Manage Project option is not available. Therefore, I cannot create the Qualty Test issues which represent test cases.  Have you had this experience, how did you get past it.  Thanks!

Assuming you are a Jira Product Admin, you should be able to create a Company-managed Project:

1. Go to Projects (top navigation bar) > Create project
2. Select Software developments from the template list on the left-hand side
3. Select Kanban, and then the blue Use template button
4. Select to create a Company-managed Project (using the blue button on the right)
5. Populate the Project details, and create the Project

^ If the "Create project" option is missing, you don't have sufficient permissions to create the Project. In this instance, ask one of your Admins to do this for you.

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

When you say the "Company-Manage Project" option is not available, can you show us where it is you expect to find that option?

Note that only Jira Administrators are able to create Company Managed projects. If you are not a Jira Administrator you may be able to create Team Managed projects but you won't be able to created Company Managed projects.

And even if you are a Jira Administrator there are some project templates that are available only as Team Managed projects.

So getting more details, such as a screen image, will help us help you diagnose the root cause of your issue.
