Why can't I change issue type on existing ticket anymore?

Used to be able to upgrade issues from stories to epics or bugs to improvement issue types. Now i cannot. Did something change on Jira Cloud recently?

Can you try the "Move" operation? It will ask you to change the fields values, status etc depending on the target issuetype.

Do the issues all share the same workflow?   If they don't you will have to use a bulk update to change the issue type.
