I see custom labels that I can sort by. For instance we have a custom label called "Grooming Status" and I can show that in a pie chart, issue stats chart etc.
However, I can NOT have it show me a total of story points for a filter I have set up.
I really would like a version burn down chart but I've seen issues created on that.
It would suffice to just see a single digit with the number of points remaining in a custom filter..
For context, the custom filter aggregates multiple versions. We use the versions as releasable entities. Our one board contains multiple products on it, separated by Epics. This is probably the wrong way to use Jira nexg-gen projects, but it's what we have found works.... until we want to have a multi-version burn down.
Hello @Brett Swift
Take this feedback with the context that I'm just another user of JIRA and I don't use Next Gen projects.
I would guess that you cannot choose Story Points as a grouping option in dashboard gadgets because it is not a selection list type of field, like Labels or Status. Story Points is simply a number input field with an "infinite" number of possible values. I'm guessing that grouping can't be done except on fields that are selection lists with a set of known possible values.
Makes sense.
I guess if we were to create a custom field called "t-shirt sizing" and limited it to fibonacci numbers that would work.
Bit cumbersome to convert all the fields.. and in doing so I'm guessing we break a bunch of other things in this next gen project.
Do you have any other ideas?

Hi @Brett Swift,
Our Jira Cloud App Quick Filters for Jira could solve your problem as it provides several dashboard gadgets enabling you to show "Story Points" for classic or next gen projects and based on a given filter. The filter can be changed very easily, automatically updating the data shown in the whole dashboard with one click.
In the screenshot below, I created a dashboard with two statistics gadgets, showing accumulated story points of a next gen project.

We have hundreds of users but only a few that would use this, so the pricing model is prohibitive.
Disappointed that one of the leading Agile products on the market is so feature poor.

The "version report" can report on story point estimate. But nothing else can.
I'm not so sure these "next gen" projects are really that next gen.
